ミャンマーでは新型コロナウイルスを感染防止のため、2020年8月から観光地などをロックダウンされましたが、1年間後の2022年に入ってから 観光地の一部分が訪れるようになってきました。その中には、ローカルの人も良く知られましたシャン州のピンダヤー洞窟が2022年1月3日から再開しました。
現状、海外から観光目的での渡航はまだできませんが、国内線はヤンゴン、マンダレーからシャン州のヘーホー空港まで毎日運航されているため、ミャンマーで存在の方なら訪れることができます。
